Traffic police at the Midway RTI have downed tools this morning (August 4).
The gate at the station has been closed, prohibiting usual day-to-day services from taking place, this includes the weighbridge and road traffic enforcement.
According to a source who did not want to be named, the officers’ dissatisfaction stems from a senior official who they want removed from the post.
It is believed that the officials at Midway RTI had, in the past months, raised concerns which senior management allegedly failed to address.
“Currently there is no enforcement. Members are hoping for answers to resolve this matter,” said the source.
