College students protest over campus conditions

The students are saying that they are denied Wi-Fi and conditions are not conducive to learning

Students at the Ezakheni campus of Mnambithi FET/TVET College took to the streets in protest on Tuesday (August 2), demanding that their grievances be addressed.

The students are complaining about the conditions at the college premises and the limited resources at their disposal. For example, they say that access to Wi-Fi is denied for most of the students at the college.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) chairperson commented that, “The conditions at the college make it very difficult for learning to take place. We have been lodging complaints, but they all seem to fall on deaf ears, hence we are here striking.”
