Protest action continues on R103

Motorists are advised to stay clear of this route, as it is unsafe for travel

The protest action that began this morning (August 1) is still active, as angry Colenso residents have blocked the R103 near Chieveley with huge rocks.

A raging fire in the bush on both sides of the road was lit by residents, who say that they haven’t had running water for months.
