Municipal employees take part in wellness programme

A Municipality Employee Wellness programme was conducted by AbaQulusi municipal officials at the Cecil Emmett Hall on Thursday.
Mayor Khehla Mkhwanazi, Speaker Nonkuleko Ndlela, councillors, directors and employees were present as they participated in a variety of games that included a sack race, tug-of-war, spoon and egg race, netball, volleyball, Coke challenge, athletics, aerobics, relay, soccer and much more.
The mayor encouraged the employees to participate in sporting activities and emphasised that, “A healthy mind helps to boost emotional, psychological and social well-being, which can affect how one thinks, feels and acts.” He also emphasised the spirit of discipline and unity among the employees.
The fun-filled day was a successful experience, as everyone happily competed in the games.
