Water shortages expected due to planned maintenance

uThukela District Municipality advises the community of Alfred Duma Local Municipality that scheduled maintenance is set to take place at the Ezakheni Water Treatment Plant from today (June 4) until June 7.

This maintenance programme will consist of de-silting of the raw water pumps, repairs of structural damage, and repairs of a 600mm steel line.

Areas that receive water from the Ezakheni Water Works will be affected and residents are urged to take precautionary measures such as storing water in containers.
