It’s time to update pre-paid meters

Residents who have purchased electricity for a 'rainy day' and have kept those receipts must enter their tokens into the meter before April 3

Municipal customers who have prepaid meters are advised that these meters will have to be updated before November next year (2024).
The local municipality is starting the process from April 3 this year.

This simply means that when you purchase electricity after this date, you will receive a receipt with two TID tokens (20-digit number).
Enter both numbers into your meter and it will automatically be updated.

Residents who have purchased electricity for a ‘rainy day’ and have kept those receipts must enter their tokens into the meter before April 3, or else they will lose it and the municipality will not refund.

Old tokens that have been bought, but not entered, will not work once the new TID tokens are entered.
