Stories of satisfactory service delivery are often difficult to find… However, once in a while, there are municipal staff who provide reliable and good-quality service.
This was the case in Weenen when Deleene Wagner, a businesswoman who is also an administrator for a Weenen service delivery WhatsApp group, received pleasing service from Mr Sithembiso of the Community Services Department.

Democratic Alliance (DA) branch chairperson Geshy Reddy said that Mrs Wagner regularly shares posts on the WhatsApp group about areas in Weenen that require attention.
“She posts almost daily, informing the community about where Mr Sithembiso cleans and cuts the grass; and shows ‘before and after’ photos. He communicates so efficiently, and his accountability and transparency are most commendable. Most of all, he is so humble despite his efficiency. We pray that all those in the service delivery sectors at Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality can be this professional. Well done to the Weenen service delivery WhatsApp team, and a special thank you and recognition to Mr Sithembiso. Keep up the service excellence!” commented Reddy.
