Residents take to the street to protest against poor service delivery

The ongoing water interruptions are said to be the reason for the protest action

Ongoing service delivery protest action sparked up this morning (August 3) on the Old Main Road.

Dissatisfied with the provision of water services from uThukela District Municipality, some residents took to the street.

It is believed that the community has been affected by prolonged water interruptions, which have not yet been addressed or resolved by the district municipality.

The intersection at Old Main Road and Fort Durnford was blocked with burning debris and branches, hampering morning traffic on this busy main route.
