Man found dead in Brickhill Road

Police commented that a 9mm pistol was found at the scene

Estcourt police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a house in Brickhill Road on Tuesday (August 20).

That morning, news spread that a man had allegedly shot himself, and police were informed.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan explained that, on Tuesday morning, police were called to a residence in Brickhill Road, where a person had allegedly shot himself.

Officers were shown the body of a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. A 9mm pistol was found nearby. The scene was processed and an inquest has been registered for investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Khipha Nicholas Ndimande (71).

This comes after a woman was allegedly shot and killed in Colita on Monday. However, Khan could not confirm this incident or its connection to the shooting the following day.
