According to Mornè Potgieter of Ithemba Security Services, his staff was busy patrolling a client’s property when they came across the fetus near the bridge that runs across the Ncandu river along the N11.
Lizzy Arumugam of the Newcastle SAPS confirmed the incident and said a case of concealment of birth had been opened.
No arrests have been made as yet, and the case remains subjective to further police investigations.
