Three men shot and two critically wounded in Utrecht shooting

Two victims were seriously injured as a result of the shooting and were taken to hospital for further intensive medical care.

Utrecht detectives are currently investigating the murders of three men who were shot and killed on January 18 at around 23:24 on Kantoor Street.

Lizzy Arumugam of the Newcastle SAPS corporate communications department said when police arrived at the scene they found the bodies of the three men, who were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

“Fortunately, two other victims survived the shooting but were found in a critical condition. They were transported to the hospital to receive additional urgent medical care.

“The motive for the shooting is not yet known, and no suspects have been arrested as yet,” confirmed Arumugam.
