Amangwe SAPS Visible Policing officers arrested five suspects aged between 19 and 47 years old in Loskop yesterday evening (October 23).
Police were monitoring a group of men who were suspected of planning and committing business robberies in the area. Their vehicle was stopped on the Loskop road and upon searching it, officers found an unlicensed firearm as well as a range of knives.

According to SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan, the suspects face charges of being in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition, as well as dangerous weapons.
The vehicle has been impounded by police.
The arrested suspects appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court today (October 24).
