A would-be robber got more than he bargained for after trying to rob a woman this evening (June 27) on the corner of Albert and Murchison streets.
A man who happened to be nearby saw what was happening and came to the woman’s rescue. He attacked the robber.
Upon seeing that the woman was safe and out of harm’s way, her rescuer left the scene before police arrived.

The would-be robber sustained injuries to his leg during the attack and was treated by medical personnel who responded to the scene.
