Newcastle crime fighters help SAPS bring down drug dealers

The Newcastle Crime Fighters Task Team (NCFTT), together with Optimus Protection Services, Madadeni POC, and Newcastle K9 Unit A Shift, successfully tracked down and arrested three suspects in Madadeni Section 7 this week.

Imran Ghafoor of NCFTT said information had been received pertaining to a suspect being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and believed to be dealing in narcotics.

An intelligence-driven operation was conducted in Section 7, and the suspect was identified.

Upon raiding the suspect’s home, law enforcement recovered a.22 rifle and 14 full and a quarter of a mandrax tablet.

In total, three suspects were arrested and detained at the Madadeni police station.

“Thank you to everyone involved and for another job well done,” concluded Ghafoor.
