Imran Ghafoor of the Newcastle Crime Fighters Task Team, said information had been received of the suspect’s whereabouts.
Together with an off-duty officer, Sergeant Birbal, and Optimus Protection Services, Ghafoor managed to track down and arrest the suspect in the Lennoxton area.
“He was arrested and successfully charged for house burglary. Thank you to everyone who assisted with another job well done,” he concluded.
