Police held successful roadblocks in Ladysmith, Bergville and Ezakheni during the course of the weekend.

Eight suspects, aged between 20 and 53, were arrested at these roadblocks for being in possession of and / or dealing in dagga and other drugs.

Police inspections were also conducted at liquor outlets, where several people were arrested for dealing in alcohol without a licence. The booze they had in their possession was confiscated.

 All the arrested suspects are expected to appear in various courts soon.
