Police shut down Weenen liquor outlet

Police confiscated a small amount of alcohol that was being sold illegally

Weenen police planned a compliance inspection in the town during the festive season.

Joining hands, the visible policing unit and detectives planned an operation on December 27.

During the inspection, an unlicensed liquor outlet was shut down.

“A small amount of liquor that was found on the premises was confiscated by police,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.

The suspect was summoned to appear in court.
