Municipal employee under investigation for sexual harassment
The victim is currently being attended to by social workers
An employee of Alfred Duma Local Municipality has been arrested following allegations of sexual harassment against a colleague.
The municipal manager received a report from the alleged victim and an internal investigation was launched.
For the alleged victim’s safety and dignity, the municipality removed her from the Parks & Gardens Unit to another department.

According to the municipality, “The suspect is in the hands of the police for his alleged actions, so we will closely follow and work along with law enforcement.”
