Resident discovers body in Ngagane River

Bricks were tied to the body and the hands were bound behind the back.

The body of an unidentified male was discovered in the Ngagane River, next to the Madadeni Road (P483) on Sunday afternoon (August 21).

According to an official source, a resident spotted the body in the river and immediately alerted SAPS. Police responded to the call at around 13:30, where the body was recovered.

Bricks were reportedly tied to the body, with the hands tied behind the back. This has led police officials to suspect foul play was involved with the death.

The victim’s identity and the exact cause of death are not confirmed at this stage, and remain subject to further investigations.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
