Sentraal make final of Murray Cup after bruising encounter

It was a hard season for the local team after they were forced to seek a new home.

The Sentraal rugby team has made it to the final of the Murray Cup, which will be played on Saturday against Amanzimtoti in Hillcrest.
The local team triumphed 38-26 over a powerful Piet Retief side in a bruising encounter in Volksrust on Saturday. Sentraal scored five tries, with S Hlongwane, Xander Kriel, S Zulu, M Groenewal and Renier van Rooyen all dotting down.
The team is looking forward to Saturday’s clash ‘down south’ and are hoping to bring home the trophy after a difficult season which saw them having to uproot from their ‘home’ at Dundee High School and move to the Glencoe sports stadium.
