August 3: Indiebos potjiekos competition at The Shed
Try your culinary skills at the potjiekos competition at The Shed’s ‘downstairs’ venue ‘indiebos’. Preparations start at 11am and judges will consider (besides the food), contestants’ atmosphere and presentation of their stand. The entrance fee is R50 and all proceeds go to the Dundee Adult Centre. There will be a live performance by Zandre Human, kiddies entertainment and stalls are welcome. August 9: Rooi Dlame soccer tournament, Nquthu
Rooi Dlame will host the 2024 soccer tournament at the Nquthu stadium where the winning team can take home R10 000 and a full set of jerseys, gold medals and a floating trophy. The second-placed team will win R2000, jerseys and silver medals with a prize of R1200 for the team finishing third plus bronze medals. Ladies teams are also welcome. September 7: Bikers to give blood
The Boanerges MCC Dundee National Blood Run will take place at the Dundee Adult Centre from 09:00 on September 7. Food stalls and cloth badges will be available. Contact Gert (president) on 067 747 7350 or Jackie on 062 313 2932 for more details.
