Awards for Dundee SAVF workers

Karen Glasgow of the SAVF Dundee everyone ‘is very proud of these achievements’ and reflected the hard work and dedication of everyone associated with the SAVF.

Superior. Approachable Attitude. Value for Money. Family Friendly Facility. That is the new approach from the SAVF as unveiled at the KZN conference in Durban recently where the two SAVF homes in Dundee and Glencoe came home with top awards.

Elaine van der Merwe (SAVF Glencoe) and Cheryl du Plooy (SAVF Dundee) were awarded SAVF KZN North Runner-up 2023/24 volunteers of the year while Siste Elsabe (Lizbe) Steyn of Eventide Home was awarded Employee of the Year for KZN North.

Karin Strydom, manager of SAVF Glencoe Service Centre and Housing, was awarded KZN North Facility of the Year 2023/224.

“The SAVF is on a journey of change as reflected in our new slogan taken from the acronym, SAVF,” Karen said, adding that despite challenging times, the homes are ‘doing really well in Endumeni’.
