Respected Dundee family business roars along on the highway to great success

One of Dundee’s oldest and most respected businesses, Hi-Way Motors, has walked away with four top accolades – proof that one does not have to shop out of town for exceptional service and peace of mind.
At a celebration ceremony on Friday, Junaid Pandor (whose grandfather started the business in 1960) thanked his dedicated staff for their remarkable achievements that saw Hi-Way scoop the following awards:
Isuzu Dealer of the Year 2023; Isuzu Parts Yushu Programme – first in category; Isuzu Sales Dealer of the Year – Small Town Dealer LCV 2023; and Suzuki Auto SA Top Achiever – Best Service in Customer Satisfaction Index.
Hi-Way Motors was first located on Victoria Street, opposite the current taxi rank, and was a Fiat and Volvo dealer. The business moved to the current location in 1966 and from 1970 to 1980 was a Datsun dealer. In 1980, an agreement was signed with General Motors (later Delta and then back again to General Motors) until 2017 when Hi Way Motors moved over to Isuzu and Suzuki.
Hi-Way Motors is a family business with the irreplaceable values of friendliness and customer service at the core of the operation. Junaid’s father, Mohammed, still comes to work daily, while his son, Ismail, is also in the business.
