What’s On in the Dundee district..

Dundee is ready for this year's Dundee July 20 fashion and horse riding weekend.

July may be a bit quiet as far as events are concerned – except of course for the famous Dundee July which will take place on July 20…

But some fun events are coming up in August and later…

August 9 – Rooi Dlame soccer tournament, Nquthu: Rooi Dlame will host the 2024 soccer tournament at the Nquthu Stadium, where the winning team can take home R10,000 and a full set of jerseys, gold medals and a floating trophy.

The second-placed team will win R2000, jerseys and silver medals; with a prize of R1200 for the team finishing third, plus bronze medals. Ladies’ teams are also welcome.

The closing date for entry (fee of R1200) is July 15 and kick-off on the day is from 08:00, with the draw being on August 7. For details: Khanyile 082 675 1904, Bongwe 072 870 8150 or Rooi 082 347 2135.

September 7: Bikers to give blood

Boanerges MCC, Dundee, will host the national blood run at the Dundee Adult Centre from 9am. Food stalls and cloth badges are available. Details; Gert at 067 747 7350 or Jackie 062 313 2932. All welcome, bikes and non-bikers.
