Double murder at local workshop stuns Dundee

The shooting occurred at a workshop following what was said to be a heated argument over a payment for a vehicle that was allegedly never delivered to the deceased.

A man is due in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Wednesday, on two charges of murder and one of attempted murder.

SAPS said this follows a shooting yesterday, Monday, evening at a workshop on Cornhill Street where a woman and a man (23) from the same family were killed. A third, a woman, was shot and wounded.

A younger boy had managed to run to the police station for help. By then private people had rushed to assist.

The suspect was arrested on the scene. Unconfirmed reports said that the shooting occurred after a heated argument over money and the non-delivery of a vehicle.

A police investigation is continuing.
