Dundee Junior present a page-turner of an expo

Bringing books to learners in a bid to encourage them to read.

Dundee Junior School held a three-day book display in the school hall last week, where the learners (and members of the public) could purchase books of their choice that covered a myriad of genres. Johan and Heather Pettit from Diskonto Boeke in Roodepoort were present to give guidance to avid bookworms.

Diskonto Boeke was established 35 years ago, and supports junior primary schools by distributing books of all categories to help students read and give guidance in various subjects.
Some of the English language books are imported, while the Afrikaans books are published at the South African Publishers Association.

According to Johan of Diskonto Boeke, the company travels around South Africa to junior schools to sell and distribute books to young students.
