Neighbours, fire brigade spring to contain Dundee house fire

The fire brigade responded swiftly when called by concerned neighbours.

Residents in Beaconsfield Street, Dundee,  prevented a house from being gutted on Tuesday morning, March 5, after reacting by throwing buckets of water on the flames to dampen the fire.

The Fire Brigade arrived within seven minutes of being called, neighbours told the Courier.

The fire was contained and was said to be caused by an apparent electrical fault.
