Dundee Adult Centre residents were not forgotten after all

The Adult Centre had a festive time thanks to generous benefactors.

When Willie Steenberg realised that 40residents from the Dundee Adult Centre would be ‘left behind’
over Christmas, he offered to host a festive party.
His adopted son, JG, attends the Adult Centre and Willie said it broke his heart thinking that many would not be picked up by families or relatives, but would have to stay at the centre.

He contacted some business friends and managed to get a sponsorship for meat and other refreshments, while
Sarel Cilliers High School did not hesitate to offer the Blue Lions Clubhouse for the party.
“They also enjoyed games and dancing. It was a case of letting them get out for the day and have some enjoyment,” Willie said.
He sincerely thanked all the sponsors for making the event possible.

Everyone enjoyed a festive dance.
