Local matrics celebrate after receiving their results

Matriculants who the Courier spoke to expressed relief that the long wait for the results (over six weeks) was over.

The Class of 2023 are out celebrating today after receiving their matric results. In the wake of KZN notching up the best matric results since 1995 (86,36%), local matrics were also pleased with their results.

Sarel Cilliers High scored a pass rate of 95,9%

Dundee High 95,5%

Dundee Secondary 76%

Ethangeni 83,7%

Enyanyeni: 100%!

(results received so far)

Zandisiwe Maphalala was DHS’s top student with 78,8% (3 As and 4 Bs) while Namagugu Sibisi with an average of 83% (4 As and 3Bs) was Sarel Cilliers’ top candidate.

Overall the Umzinyathi district returned a pass rate of 86,6%.

Results from other high schools have not been forthcoming.
