Policeman injured in car crash on N11
Traffic on the N11 has picked up after motorists travelling from Dundee/Glencoe to Ladysmith had to be re-routed via Sunset Rest following the collapse of the Sunday's river bridge between Glencoe and the N11 on the R602.
A policeman stationed in Glencoe was injured after the car he was travelling in was involved in a crash on the N11 near the Fort Mistake weighbridge.
He was identified as Dayalan Padayachee who is a Warrant Officer in Glenoce.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet known. Paramedics and traffic police were on the scene.
He is believed to have suffered a broken leg and other injuries. The Courier wishes Warrant Officer Padayachee a speedy recovery.
