Three men were arrested on a farm on charges of stock theft after one of the accused was caught slaughtering a sheep in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.
The arrests were made after Sgt Buthelezi of the SAPS Dundee rural safety office received information of sheep being caught and slaughtered on Ingudlane farm.
Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana, Umzinyathi District SAPS spokesperson. said the three suspects had ‘all participated in the slaughtering as their clothes were full of blood.”
Sheep skins were also found on the scene. The men have appeared in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court and the investigation is continuing.
