High-density police operations in Dundee area yield arrests and recoveries

The operation comes as SAPS gear up for the festive season,

Through recent high-density operations, Umzinyathi District’s many components – Vispol, detectives and Glencoe K9 – achieved significant success.
Members of the Nhlanhleni policing precinct closed three illicit liquor stores on Thursday, November 2.
One suspect was detained for illegal handgun possession.

Two illicit liquor stores were closed on Friday, November 3, in Greytown.
Officers arrested one suspect who was in possession of drugs (dagga, cocaine and whoonga straws).
A wanted suspect in a murder and attempted murder case was apprehended by personnel of the Nquthu police precinct during another operation.

One of the suspects was discovered to be in possession of an unregistered firearm.
All suspects who have been detained will appear in magistrate courts in Greytown, Msinga, and Nquthu.
Police operations will continue.
