Public march in Endumeni (Dundee area) calling for the disabled to be treated with respect

The day was filled with activities ranging from storytelling to reading, singing, poetry and dancing performed by those with disabilities.

Under the theme ‘Differently Abled’, Endumeni Municipality hosted a ‘Disability Visibility Day’ at the Moth Hall on Thursday.
Held in conjunction with the Department of Health and Department of Social Development, the aim of the event was to create awareness, as well as showcase the talents and skills of disabled people.
The proceedings kicked off with a peaceful march around the block.
Cllr Ameena Sadeck welcomed the guests at the event.
Sadeck highlighted the importance of treating disabled people with respect and dignity, exposing them to healthy environments, and encouraging them to participate in activities that are beneficial to their overall health. The councillor expressed words of gratitude to parents and guardians of children and other people living with disabilities.
