Dundee High hosts bumper Heritage Day golf day

Members are reminded to please attend the annual general meeting from 18:00 on October 4.

Dundee Country Club hosted the Dundee High Heritage Golf Day on Sunday, with 55 players taking to the course.
The weather was cooler than the previous day and the players enjoyed the fellowship and the 4BBB Stableford format.
The school organisers would like to thank all the sponsors for their contributions towards the day, the kitchen staff for the delicious meals prepared, Joe Khumalo and staff members for the excellent condition of the course, the barmen, and Thandi in the Pro Shop.

DHS learners assisting at the golf day: Buhle, Londakahle, Gabriella, Sesese, Sphiwokuhle, Melusi, Lunga and Hein.

The eventual winners of the day were partners S Abdulla and L Adams on 48 points, with the ‘good doctors’ B Chawayo and S Nzenza as the runners-up.

Joe Khumalo and S Sithole were third, S Kunene and S Mthembu fourth, and B Rasool and A Vali fifth. Vali also chalked up the longest drive, with Debbie Catlett taking the honours in the ladies’ section.
Nearest the pins: no. 4 – Dr S Kunene, no. 8 – H Grieshen, no. 12 – A Valli, and no. 16 – N du Plessis.
