Crime sweep yields results in Nquthu area

The intensive operation reached out to over 1000 members of the public.

Various policing components – accompanied by municipal officials, Community Policing Forum members and other role players – joined forces to conduct a crime awareness campaign in the Nquthu policing area last Wednesday.
There were also random checks on liquor licence compliance while pamphlets were distributed at the local taxi rank.
Police say that the goal of the awareness campaign was to inform (or forewarn) the public about all crimes – with a focus on rape, drug abuse, and gender violence.
