Golfers pay final tribute to Marc Bradbury

Marc Bradbury, who was a member of the Dundee Country Club since he was a school boy, made a huge contribution to the sport in the Northern KZN district.

The memory of Marc Bradbury (57) was celebrated at Dundee Golf Club on Saturday, with members giving a ‘golfing salute’ to the past club captain and dedicated golfer, husband and father.
Marc passed away last week after an illness bravely borne.

Born on August 9, 1966, in Dundee to Trevor and the late Ilona Bradbury, Marc schooled at Dundee High and after his compulsory military training, he started his apprenticeship at Durnacol as an electrician and worked on numerous mines for many years. He started his golfing career at just 10 years old and took part in many junior golf tournaments with other juniors from Dundee Country Club.

He was elected as Dundee golf club captain in 1986 and served on numerous committees at the club, as well as Northern Natal Golf Union, where he lent a helping hand in arranging major competitions at all times.
Marc also represented the sport for many years in the Northern KZN Golf League. Dolly, Chris, Nicky and the Bradbury family – including his father Trevor, brother Grant and sister Samantha – would like to thank the Dundee Country Club members and friends for the wonderful support at this time of loss
