DHS boast 11 KZN representatives in mulitple sports

The girls played their hearts out, even after being physically hurt on the court - making their captain very proud.

DHS vs Vryheid Landbou
DHS played away games against Vryheid Landbou on May 17.
All the matches were interesting to watch and the DHS teams again played with passion.
DHS’s Red Knights secured a 4-2 victory. Well done to Mr Nkambule for beating Vryheid Landbou’s coach in a game to entertain the players.
The U/14 and second hockey teams drew 0-0. The netball U/14-A team won 14-4, but the U/15 netball players unfortunately lost 7-17.
The second netball team won 22-11, while the first netball team remained undefeated with a 61-6 victory. The girls played their hearts out, even after being physically hurt on the court – making their captain very proud. The U/14 rugby team lost 19-0, the U/15 rugby team won 24-0 and the U/16 rugby team won 24-5.
The second rugby team performed well, but in the end they lost 18-0.
The first team rugby boys played as the sun set and made DHS proud with a 15-3 win. Well done to Ngcebo Ntshangase, Michael Molefe and Lulama Ndebele for scoring tries in this game. All the teams held the school’s name high. Strenius Ardua Cedunt.

On Saturday, Dundee competed against Vryheid High School.
The scores were as follows:
Netball:
U/14 lost 4-15, U/15 lost 9-17, U/16 lost 6-22, second team won 15-4 and first team won 78-14.
Rugby:
U/14 lost 0-5, U/15 won 10-0, U/16 won 10-5, second team lost and first team lost 13-24.
Congratulations to the following learners on being selected to play for the KZN teams in their respective sports and age groups:
Hanro van Zyl – KZN U/18 invitational side, Zemichke Snyman – KZN U/19 school girls’ tennis team, Kuhlekonke Buthelezi – U/16 Dolphins netball team, Zamaphanga Maphanga – U/14 Dolphins netball team, Thandolwethu Buthelezi – U/16 Sharks netball team, Lonwabo Khumalo – U/18 Dolphins netball team, Sandiso Ntuli – U/14 KZN Country District team, Alwande Madondo – U/14 KZN Country District team, Thabiso Africa – U/18 KZN Country District team, Bonga Mdlalose – U/18 KZN Country District team, Cebo Mbatha – U/18 KZN Country District team.
Cebo Mbatha has also been invited to take part in the KZN Inlands trials. Well done, Cebo!
