The NKZN SAPSA League was hosted at the Alwynkop Shooting Range in Dundee last Saturday.
SAPSA members came from Utrecht, Winterton and Newcastle to enjoy this important ‘shoot’, along with local shooters.
Six challenging level 2 stages with a round count of 114 kept shooters busy and it was worth watching.
These competitions have certainly helped NKZN to improve in the sport of shooting over the past 12 months.
Results:
Best open shooter – Pieter Bouwer;
Best PCC shooter – Vincent Mortlock;
Best production optics – Derich Eicker;
Best production – Gerhard Lombaard;
Best standard – Andre van Straaten;
Best junior lady – Kajal Ragunanan;
Best junior men – FC Eicker.
Special mention must be made of the juniors, Kajal and FC, who shot exceptionally well.
FC Eicker is a Grade 6 learner who is already looking like a candidate for the national team in years to come.
The next league shoot will be at Alwynkop in July.
