Dundee to host 73rd annual Friedman Bowls Cup

The Dundee Bowling club will be hosting the 73rd annual Friedman Bowls Cup  this coming weekend with 24 teams and 96 players participating on Saturday and Sunday – November 5-6.

Greg Conolly, Bowling Club President, said the Club was excited to be back hosting the event that had to be severely curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the related restrictions.

“The Friedman Cup is the oldest such bowls tournament in the province and is a good boost for our town with players and families staying over. Dundee is known as a friendly town and we love hosting visitors,” he said.

Friday night  will see a welcoming ceremony and on Saturday evening there will be a live band from Newcastle playing live music  and there will also be supper available for all the players and guests.

On Sunday after bowls the annual prize giving will be held at around 13h00  all spectators   are invited to come to the club to watch some top class bowling.
