When people do something good, the saying usually goes: ‘Give them their flowers while they are still alive, while they can smell them’. Well, with that in mind, an organisation for retired senior citizens gave the group founder her ‘flowers’ on Tuesday last week.
As the founder of Sibongumusa Senior Citizens, Zine Mazibuko was thanked for all the good deeds she has done for senior citizens and the community at large. She was applauded for starting a non-profit organisation (NPO) that is now well established with a well-articulated vision and mission statement.
The members of the NPO showered Zine with gratitude for keeping them professionally active and helping them to plough back into needy communities.
The ‘oldies’ were dressed to impress at the event, where they shared the word of God, danced and feasted on a delicious meal.
‘’Long live the spirit of Zine” echoed around the room.
