WhatsApp will be discontinuing support for older Android and iOS devices on May 5.
WhatsApp will no longer support Android devices running versions older than 5.0 (Lollipop) and iPhones running iOS 12 or older.

This means that these older devices will no longer be able to use the WhatsApp app.
Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3, Motorola Moto G (1st Gen), HTC One X, Sony Xperia Z and many other older models will no longer work with WhatsApp.
iPhones like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will also no longer support WhatsApp.
