Combined SAPS, security operation results in multiple arrests

Multiple arrests were made on charges related to the possession of drugs, illegal weapons and attempted murder during joint SAPS and private security operations.

In the first incident on September 7, police traced and arrested a man in Villiers, Free State, and an unlicensed firearm along with 45 live rounds of ammunition seized.

The operation involved the DOCC Task Team, Amajuba Crime Intelligence members, and Barnard and Winzy Bee Security.

On the same day, a man was arrested after he was found in possession of mandrax in an operation involving the SAPS Stabilisation Unit, Itemba Specialised Intervention Unit, and Itemba Guarding Division.
