Municipality temporarily orders halt to development in Poort Road

Residents attended the meeting to address issues regarding development.

A community meeting was held by DA councilor Rajkoomar on Tuesday evening at the Town Hall to discuss the project at the intersection of Watson and Harrismith (Poort) Road.

A handful of concerned residents including some from Canon Road raised concerns relating to the ongoing development opposite the Sondela Service Station to Alfred Duma officials.

The lack of public participation before work was started and during development has frustrated residents.
