DA leadership site inspection at the Ezakheni Water Plant

The Democratic Alliance led by provincial leader, Francois Rogers held a site inspection at the Ezakheni Water Plant and the Leonardsville sewer plant on Tuesday (March 5). After the walkabout at the Ezakheni Water Plant which supplies water to Ezakheni and Acacciaville both Rogers and uThukela Cllr Thys van Rensburg raised concerns on the progress made to solve water problems.

Rogers said that what they had discovered is that uThukela has not done enough and there is no clear long term solution.

“There only three pumps all working at the same time and should one fail, there is no back up which may lead to water shortages in any time,” said Rogers He said that as the DA they will be taking the matter forward to the IFP national leadership and seek answers to the water challenges in uThukela District.
