Melusi United FC happy to be crowned champions of Endumeni Junior League

When the Endumeni Junior League was in play, young, aspiring soccer players (under 13 and under 15) fought for the title.

The Department of Sport & Recreation (DSR) recognised Endumeni soccer stars for the 2023 season during an awards ceremony held last Wednesday.
Young, upcoming soccer stars (under 13 and under 15) competed for the championship during the Endumeni Junior League.
A total of 14 teams competed in the last season, with Melusi United Football Club being crowned league champions.

The team received brand new soccer jerseys, socks and gym kits.
Representatives from the DSR, Scelo Magubane and Winnie Msimang, were present at the awards ceremony.

The department sponsored all the teams with gym gear and soccer balls.
Bonginkosi Khulu, one of the coaches, told the young players that this season was not smooth sailing and they will need to fix a few things next year.
The young players were excited to receive their brand new gym kits and soccer balls.
“With the school calendar coming to an end, I am glad we will be able to still practice and play friendly matches among ourselves using this brand new gym kit,” said one of the players.
