This morning Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the Madadeni New Bridge for reports of a collision.

Fourteen children were injured when two taxis were involved in a collision on Tuesday morning, November 7, at the Asiphephe Bridge (Madadeni).

Chantal Botes of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service said paramedics responded to the scene and discovered that the taxis, carrying the children, were involved in the accident.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 14 patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.”

“The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment,” Botes said.

The exact cause of the collision is still unclear at this stage.
