Newcastle Municipality donates to St. Anthony’s Childcare centre

The Mayor kept his promise, arriving with gifts and cake to celebrate the children at St. Anthony's Childcare centre and make their day special.

Newcastle Municipality led by its Mayor Xolani Dube conducted a donation drive at the St. Anthony’s Childcare centre last week Wednesday (September 13).

The Speaker of Council, Cllr Thengi Zulu, wished the centre a happy birthday and thanked and encouraged the parents who look after the children to continue taking care of them and loving them, especially during this time where there are increased incidence of child abuse.

He also thanked Mr. Nzuza, the center’s manager, for having such an important centre for the care and protection of children, the non-profit organisations that sponsored the event, and the councillors and council workers for their contributions to the success of the children’s event.
