The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Six people sustained injuries after a minibus taxi collided with a vehicle trailer on the R34 near the Utrecht turn-off yesterday afternoon (August 25).

According to Chantelle Botha of Kwazulu Private Ambulance Services, when emergency services arrived, they found that a taxi had been involved in a collision.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that six patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious,” she said.

The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The exact cause of the collision is still unclear at this stage and remains subject to further police investigations.
