Foundation makes donations to schoolchildren in Mvunyane

''As much as our focus is on orphans, we also look at children who have parents but there is no income at home.''

The Foundation for Orphans & Disabled People has extended a helping hand by making donations to schoolchildren in need.
Malusi Mdlalose, who is the founder of the foundation, explained that the organisation was formed in 2014 when he saw how orphans and people living with disabilities often struggle to make ends meet.
Mdlalose, his partner Fidius Nzuza and the whole committee recently visited Mbundubezini Community Crèche and Hlathingwe Primary School in Ward 14 to assist the learners who needed school shoes.
Mdlalose commented that, “It has not been an easy journey since the foundation started, as we struggle to receive funding. Our aim is to help the people of our area, which is Mvunyane, as we know how many households struggle financially. As much as our focus is on orphans, we also look at children who have parents but there is no income at home.
“We currently hold our projects at different halls and schools in the community, as we do not have a shelter. We would like the community of Vryheid, as well as business owners, not to forget about people living in rural areas and assist us in every way they can. It does not have to be big, but if it comes from the heart, that is big to us.’’
Mdlalose can be contacted on 072 033 7013.
He concluded by thanking all the people who give support to the foundation and make it a success.
