Family claims that late father was ‘assaulted’ at hospital

'I saw scars on my father's arm and back when I visited him at various times and they all appeared on different regions of his arm and back daily,' she explained.

A woman is demanding answers after claiming that her 84-year-old father was ill-treated when admitted to Dundee Hospital, where he later died. She said that her father, who had been living at the old age home in Glencoe, was taken to hospital after experiencing respiratory issues.
“It seems as if my father was assaulted throughout his stay; he was treated very poorly,” she said.
In addition, she claims that when she asked the nurses and the doctor (who was caring for her father at the time) why he had once been tied to the bed, they had no satisfactory response. “I saw scars on my father’s arm and back when I visited him at various times, and they all appeared on different regions of his arm and back daily,” she explained.
Sadly, he passed away in May without any answers from the hospital regarding her father’s visible bruises.
The hospital was contacted for comment, but none had been received at the time of going to print. A comment will be published once received.
